Peace, Love, & The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It's taken me three days to be able to sit down and write my feelings and pain for the people in Newtown, CT.

My life is wonderful and I forget that way too much. My family is incredible. Crazy, but they are my life. In the past years I have been able to overcome some really dark days in my own life and each of my family members have stepped up for me when I least deserved it. Opening their homes, hearts, and lives to me. I have been so lucky to be the proud Aunt of 12 beautiful kids. I may not be a Mother at this point in my life but over the last couple of years I have been able to get a serious taste of what it is like and the love unlike any other love you can have for those little ones. I can't think for a second of how I could loose one of them. Those families have lost something too soon and I hope they are able to find the support of our Heavenly Father to help them through. I also pray for those students who survived. When Obama said:

"Our hearts are broken for the parents of the survivors as well, for as blessed as they are to have their children home tonight, they know that their children’s innocence has been torn away from them too early, and there are no words that will ease their pain."

I began to realize how awful the aftermath would be. It isn't enough that this happened, now they need to find the strength to overcome and continue living. The strongest source in my life for this is my Heavenly Father- OUR Heavenly Father. He is there... he is holding our hands, putting an arm around us, carrying us and putting people in our lives to help us endure. Life truly is a beautiful thing, it breaks my heart to see the evil overtaking and innocent lives being taken. Children are special, their spirits are bright, their love radiates through their pure hearts. Those children are in Heaven now. God bless their families and friends. They will return to their families one day and I truly know that Jesus Christ- our brother- died for each and every one of us so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and be with our families for an eternity. I encourage all to learn for themselves of this great plan for it can help give us peace in this world. The reunion will be sweet when those children are reunited with their families.

I'm going to finish with one of my favorite hymns...

God Be with You Till We Meet Again
31243, Hymns, God Be with You Till We Meet Again, no. 152

1. God be with you till we meet again;
By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you.
God be with you till we meet again.

[Chorus]
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus' feet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

2. God be with you till we meet again;
When life's perils thick confound you,
Put his arms unfailing round you.
God be with you till we meet again.

3. God be with you till we meet again;
Keep love's banner floating o'er you;
Smite death's threat'ning wave before you.
God be with you till we meet again.

Glitz and Glam even in the darkest of days.

  1. Perfectly put. Love you Meg and I love the peace the gospel brings to my life - through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I can't imagine how hard it is for the families but I pray they can find peace.

Make my day... leave me a message. I hate to think I am just talking to hear myself talk. :P
