Peace, Love, & Scotty McCreery

I get to work with a lot of people through my job. The variety in artists I get to meet is incredible. I have worked with a lot of small acts and a lot of larger acts. Most of them make me fall in love with their act even more. I rarely I walk away knowing I will never recommend that artist to someone... After spending a whole day working with someone or their tour crew you learn a lot and get a good feel for who they are.

Working relationships are an interesting thing. In the entertainment industry, just as any other work environment, it's all about team work.

I work with incredibly talented people. Our whole production staff never ceases to amaze me! As I watch the lighting, visual, and sound guys, I learn so much. Majority of the time they are speaking a foreign language!

Yesterday, we had a very big production, Scotty McCreery. They have a larger traveling crew and they have a much more complex stage set up than we are used to. As I watched the crews work together to get things done I saw team work and the importance of communication.

It was a very long day but it was also so worth it! Making connections for my future career and just making new friends in the industry is really what I live for! :) Scotty was so awesome and down to earth. Such a genuine guy. His crew had fun and knew how to get the job done.

It was about the time that I stepped onto Scotty's tour bus that I knew my hard work was paying off. It's not an easy industry to work in and it is predominately male. Earning my spot in the industry was not easy but continues to be my pride and joy. I couldn't be more happy with where I am at and I couldn't work with better people!

My biggest pet peeve is when someone tells me, "you're so lucky". I work really hard. I AM really blessed. I don't sit around all day and get to just walk on Scotty's bus... I work hard all day and that is one of the rewards I get to have. I love my job. I love working in high stress situations. I love knowing that anything could happen and I have to know how to handle anything thrown my way. I love seeing everything that goes into planning and executing a concert.

All in all I had a blast working with Scotty. Just hanging out and having a chill time. I had to interrupt their hacky sack game for dinner. They just love to have fun and were so appreciative of all the hands helping them.

This picture was from sound check when Scotty was just having fun. I love it. Each one of the guys I talked to had awesome stories of who they had previously worked for! It was fun to pick their brains. They also convinced me that Nashville is the place to go. :)

Make my day... leave me a message. I hate to think I am just talking to hear myself talk. :P
