Quarter of a CENTURY oh and ANDY GRAMMER!!!

Time is flying by far too quickly these days. Now that I am no longer a student the days and weeks seem to fly by. I don't know where the summer went and I don't know how I just had my 25th birthday! Seems like a dream.

I owe you guys more than a quick update, it has been over a month since I have posted anything, but I rather gloss over all the awesomeness than draw it out in a long worded post-- that most people won't get through-- we'll see how I do. ha ha.

WORK is great, I am learning so much and am happy to be in events. I still live for the chaos of events and haven't questioned my abilities to do so even when I was thrown into our International Convention in Dallas, TX just two weeks after starting my job! It has been a whirlwind for the last month and a half and I am excited for the next few months and being able to travel!

BALDAPALOOZA was incredibly awe-spiring. At the end of last year I suggested we reach out to Andy Grammer to be our headliner for 2015. Well, things ended up working out and after a short while from booking him, "Honey, I'm Good" blew up! The timing for us couldn't have been better. He brought soul, heart, drive, and a dang good show to Baldapalooza this year! He recently lost his mother to cancer and his love for her shines through his actions and music. He spent the time to visit some of our cancer heroes in the hospital- he sang, laughed, hugged, and shared hope with these kids. He really held true to the reason we put together Baldapalooza. It was awesome to be able to work with such a talented and genuine person. I was happy to be the stage manager this year and had a great time working hard.

Many of you know, I have worked 100s of concerts in the past 6 years of my life and saying goodbye to that as I left Center Stage was hard for me. I have since put it all in the back of my mind. Baldapalooza reminded me that the entertainment and concert industry is where I need to be. I am not abandoning anything but I am refocusing my drive to get back to concert management.

Some pictures from the view of a stage manager! ;D Originally there was a plan for Andy to make a big announcement from our stage-- which didn't happen however, it is now released-- He will be on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), an adventure he has dedicated to his late mother. DWTS had a camera crew following Andy the whole time he was in Boise, this was pretty cool to see! I was backstage having a conversation with Andy when I suddenly realized there were three cameras focused in on me and my conversation with Andy. Uh. Okay. The second that Andy walked away I had a paper and pen in my face to sign a waiver. I guarantee that footage will be cut out and never used but, there is a slight possibility it will end up somewhere! ;P Keep an eye out just in case!

Until next time....

Make my day... leave me a message. I hate to think I am just talking to hear myself talk. :P
