Peace, Love, & An American Idol WINNER.

Yesterday, we had our biggest concert of the semester! Kris Allen won American Idol in 2009. Let me tell you, he was awesome! He is so talented and I loved working with him! His whole band was so nice and easy going! We had a blast and they had a blast!

I had some good conversations with them and get their advice for what I should do when I graduate. They gave me some good pointers and told me I was heading in the right direction. :)

It was a great night and reassured me, yet again that I am able to accomplish everything I want! All it takes is hard work and determination!
Caitlin brought me lunch on my super busy day and it was the BEST!!!

Sound Check! :)

Meet Cale. He is Kris' guitarist and a complete stud!

After everyone leaves the venue this is what it looks like!

Cale asked me to hold his phone while he did the encore... So naturally, I took a picture of his phone. HAHAHA!

ENCORE... Backstage view! :)

Kris Allen the man himself!

What a wonderful life I have! :)

Peace, Love, & Flood

Well, as many of you probably don't know I live in an apt complex that has the worst- hands down- maintenance guy. I have lived in this same apt for half of last semester and now this semester. We had trouble last semester. One toilet was worse than the other but both would clog up for NO reason. There would be no colossal dump in the toilet and it still would clog. So, after putting in several request and nothing being fixed last night was the final straw.

We walked back to get ready for bed- me after a 10 hour work day and concert. The carpet was soaking wet. EW. I was barefoot. I repeat... EW!

We put in another request to have someone come fix it. We turned off the water. We contacted the managers first thing in the morning and he came over and "fixed" it. He turned the water back on and later in the day we came back and the water had spread even farther down the hall.

SO an emergency call was made to the managers and after several hours he came over to look and then decided we needed to get a team to come in and clean it. We went out for the night and this is what we came home to:

We have to keep the 'door' zipped shut and these huge industrial fans on all night and who knows how much longer. The will be replacing the laminate and who knows how long that will take them.

Oh happy day! Good thing we are moving next semester!

Peace, Love, & BOYTOX

For the Mindy Gledhill show I got chinese food for dinner for our crew and her crew afterwards I had a fortune cookie, this is what is read:

"The fun side of a relationship begins to unfold"

My first response was bull. I call bull. Now, a few days later this fortune still sits behind my phone in it's case. I often put things in my case that mean something to me or remind me of something.

I have recently invoked another BOYTOX. The last time I did this it was because I had lost the most important man in my life. Now, almost two years later I am calling it again.

"When a woman gives up dating / cavorting with the opposite sex for a temporary period in an attempt to enhance her overall well-being, including her mental health and her physical appearance. As a result, she may glow or look younger from lack of frowning and crying as if she had a Botox injection."

Nothing major has happened to trigger this(at least not this time)... it is more of the little ridiculous things that just frustrate me.

With work, school, church, friends and whatever else I am getting pretty busy. My class load is pretty heavy and well, work takes up my weekends. I love my job. SO much. For those of you that aren't aware I can't get enough of Center Stage. Who would have thought I could find a little piece of the world I love in Rexburg, ID! The only downside is... it usually kills my social life. I work 10 hour days on concert nights and then when it's over the grandma in me just wants to get into bed no matter what time it is.

So, to be honest it is easy to call a boytox right now because I am too busy to even try to fit it in. So, here is to many more 'Girls Night Outs' and freedom.

Peace, Love, & Pep Time

Well, I am all unpacked and back in my old apartment. It feels so weird being back already! I am so happy to be back, to be with my friends, AND to start school. AH.

I can't believe another year of school is happening. It makes me wish I wouldn't have taken off so much time from college. BUT, I do not regret what I learned in those years or what I did. It would just nice to be done with school already!

So, since none of the stress has kicked in just yet I have been wasting my night reading old blog posts that I have made drafts- sometimes I am too personal with my blog posts. It's a great place for me to get it all down but then, I forget how many people read my blog. It's not a diary! ha! Anyway, these old blog drafts got me thinking and made me realize how far I have come!

I have so much farther to go but I am super impressed by what I have changed just within the last couple years!

I have had so much help along the way and I am just so ready to keep progressing!

God Speed.

Peace, Love, & Malibu

Yesterday we went to Malibu beach and for the first time since I was a little girl I just swam and played in the ocean all day! Just floating in the waves. It was lovely! We hiked up this little cliff and had a spectacular view! I was in love! I miss the ocean and forgot how great it was!

I think even the New Yorker in me can admit... This is my motherland. ;)

Peace, Love, & JOHN STAMOS

No words can describe... My childhood dreams came true as John Stamos walked through the door onto the Jimmy Kimmel stage! I sat less than 30feet from him. UNCLE JESSE was right there! He may be 50 now, but he is still looking pretty dang good! He was pretty skinny though.

Okay back to the beginning... Caitlin kept a secret from Mary and me! She got tickets and planned a whole little day without us even knowing! And she did a great job! I was impressed by her ability to make sure we were dressed properly and that we were completely shocked as she and her sister Whitney stepped into line outside the Jimmy Kimmel Studio!

It was so fun! I honestly had never watched the show before but it was so cool to see how many people were working and the best motivation ever: there was only one female worker on set! ONE. That gave me a little boost to work even harder! This girl will be in the industry!

I also made my second TV appearance! :)   First appearance was all thanks to Godspell, that brought me so many great things! :)

Peace, Love, & LIFEPROOF

I have the great and mighty life proof case on my iPhone so, today I put it to the test with an underwater photo shoot.

Mary and Caitlin took a little pool side nap so I had nothing better to do...

yes, it was necessary to post all of them! :)
