PEACE, LOVE, AND SPARKLES.

I am heading to Utah with a full car tomorrow. I didn't think I was going to be able to go because my car... well it's a hog and it is no good for road trips. But I took advantage of our schools "Ride Board" you just post when you are going, where, and how much you are charging for gas. It is magical! I have never felt so popular in my life! So many people asked for rides and a few bailed but there were several more to fill in. So, I lucked out! :)

I am doing my sister Laura's hair on friday night which I am excited about. I am excited to see the whole Horne family since it has been a REAL long time. I am getting my own hair done on saturday and I can NOT wait! It has been 7 weeks since I have gotten my hair done! SHOCKER, I know!

Should be a good break but I can assure you next weekend I will be doing nothing but spending my saturday doing homework! Next week is also our three Bill Cosby shows so, I'll be run ragged by Saturday!

Well, I am officially back in Rexburg. I had a great weekend! A good break from school! I had fun with the family and we went to every consignment store in Boise. I never knew there were so many! :) I had some good finds, I will document them and share soon! :)

I am glad to be back "home" not super excited for another week of school but... such is life! :) I do however feel like I need a weekend of relaxing after that weekend!

I am not a morning person... I have never claimed to be. But, I for some reason was really ambitious in my scheduling of classes. 7:45 or 7:00am. This morning was my 7am class. Not sure how it is possible to sleep through 8 alarms all 15 mins apart but...

I woke up at 6:47am to a text from the girl I go with asking if I was coming. Yeah... I was in pure state of panic! I jumped out of bed, put on honor code accepted clothing and booked it downstairs. We got to class at 7:02. Impressive, yeah?

I was NOT going to break my 100% attendance in ALL my classes! I am holding onto that for as long as I can!

So, this weekend is my first weekend away from Sexy-Rexy(Rexburg) I am excited to get a nice break from the bubble. Rexburg is beginning to remind me HOW small of a place it is. So, I am excited to get some pool time in, see my little squirty, and spend some quality time with the Iversons!

I LOVE THE BEACH. Everything about it reminds me of my childhood! I could lay in the sand forever and not care. Well, I did the next best thing here in the middle of Idaho. We drove out the 20 minutes to the sand dunes and ran, jumped off the tops, climbed back up, had a bonfire, and just chilled. There were probably 25-30 of us all together. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures!

I just opened my own bank account. By myself. I opened one when I moved to the East Coast but my sister and Dad was with me. This time I went into the bank alone! :) I had done my research and found the best bank/student checking account and it was really simple. The only part that took longer then expected was that the one lady who makes new accounts was out to lunch and took forever to get back.

I felt really awesome as I put a whole $40 in it. I hadn't really made an initiative to open an account because I didn't have anything to put in it. But, I just got two checks in the mail and they can't cash them if you don't have an account with them. Even though my credit card is through them.

Anyway, long story short-or short story short- I opened an account with no hassles. Which is unheard of in my past.

For those of you that have been living in a cave... I seem to have the worst center of balance possible. I am not sure why it is so hard for me to stay on my two feet.

I had been doing a really good job and had made it almost a month from my last public fall. For those of you who didn't read that post- It was my first day on campus and I fell while crossing a cross walk... with cars stopped for me.-That was NOTHING compared to the incident I am about to share. When that fall took place classes hadn't started and the campus was empty!

Imagine being in the student center... where everyone goes to eat, have meetings, go to the bookstore, chill, and pass through on their way across campus. I had to work at the booth and was dressed up in a long skirt so that I could be professional. Well, I had my arms full of my laptop, phone, wallet, and sunglasses. Since my hands were full I didn't bother to pull up the front of my skirt. I made it half way up the stairs before I step on the front of my skirt and fell flat on my face... slid down a couple of stairs even! My laptop was much more important. My phone managed to find it's way down the whole set of stairs. I let out a really awfully embarrassing squeal and all the people that witnessed-A TON of people- just stared. Most of them waited to start laughing until I made it upstairs. No one helped me, so I had to go to the bottom to get my phone before I could go up and flee from the scene. Not only was this the most HUMILIATING fall I have ever had it was pretty painful on the cement stairs. My knee and shin bruised instantly and swelled up.

The worse part? Later that day I was laying in bed reading and I had my computer plugged in by my bed... I went to get out of bed and my foot got wrapped in the cord and I fell again. On the same knee. I screamed pretty loud that time and just laid there. My roommates turned the corner and found me in the fetal position holding my knee. So pathetic.

Yesterday we had a pretty good thunder storm roll in... I was happy to curl up on the couch and enjoy the show.


We definitely turned the couch around and sat and watched runners, bikers, cars, and the lightning. It was quite entertaining. Bay and I both made dinner and sat there and enjoyed the show... yes, our lives are that exciting! :)

So, as most of my readers-if not all my readers-know about my friend Hunter... he recently left his role as Jesus on Godspell to go back to LA to film the next season in his TV series. We have kept in touch pretty well. When I first got here we talked more but since we have gotten more busy, it is random texts every couple of days and then a phone call if I need to talk to someone that understands the real world. But, today I got a really funny text...


He continued to go on to tell me about how he really wanted to set the two of us up... He thought it was perfect since we were both LDS. I just laughed and was flattered that he thought of me. I guess I am some sort of example... even if it is just of being a "cool" mormon.

This text followed one from a couple days ago that he had sent, saying he loved working at Universal Studios because on their lunch break they could go ride the rides. That made me feel great about being in the smallest town ever! HA!

I just bought a memory stick/USB converter for my camera and I can finally use my camera again... and in the process of charging it and uploading pictures I found pictures from the last time I used it.

Let's go back to January of 2011.

I went to Cosmetology school with Steve... hence the point of this whole trip of going to LA to a hair show.

For my Visual Media class we had to take five specific pictures... with a real camera beyond my iPhone. Lucky for me Bay is really great and has a fancy super expensive camera and is a really good photographer so, she helped me and I fell IN LOVE! Now I really want a fancy camera... this is bad.

Well, every week we have this little thing called "Family Home Evening" but more well known as "FHE"
We are partnered up with a boys apt and another girls apt and then every monday evening we get together have a quick little spiritual moment and then have some sort of activity and treats. This week I was in charge of the spiritual message and then we went and played volleyball out in the grass which meant diving in jeans on the grass... see picture below of my green knees...

Everything about this screams dysfunctional to me... ha!

And we just couldn't get it right!

It has been beautiful here and it has been in the 80s lately which is actually pretty rough when hiking up to campus with a backpack on. The back of my shirt was drenched today. But, it is really nice when you just want to go do your homework outside! -or just lay outside and talk.

I may have or may have not told the story of my ex-boyfriend to my roommates while we were out there! HA!

This was before Stake Conference... which seems like forever ago but I am still going to post! :)
